broker-side vs software stop

A broker-side stop lives on the broker’s server and fires even if your machine or connection fails; a software stop lives on your machine and only sends the exit when your code detects the level. If your machine, connection, or code fails, the software stop does not exist — so the stop that protects you is the one on the broker’s server.
