validation engineering

The objective, teachable half of systematic trading: turning ideas into explicit rules, testing them honestly, measuring true costs, and detecting when they stop working. It is distinct from edge origination (finding an edge), which is the scarce half. Getting validation right does not require having an edge; it requires not lying to yourself with data.
